Hamilton, Bermuda, (7 April, 2014) – Hiscox Re, the newly combined reinsurance operations of Hiscox, has continued to strengthen its senior management team with the appointments of Reeva Bakhshi as Chief Financial Officer and Paresh Thakrar as Chief Operating Officer.
As Chief Financial Officer, Reeva Bakhshi will be based in Hiscox’s Bermuda office. She previously held a number of high profile roles within Hiscox, latterly as Finance Director for Hiscox Europe. Reeva joined Hiscox in 2006 from ACE.
Paresh Thakrar, who joined Hiscox in 2013 as Head of Strategy and Business Analysis from McKinsey and Company, will now take the role of Chief Operating Officer, based in Hiscox’s London office. As well as McKinsey, Paresh has previously worked for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Ministry of Defence across a range of national defence issues.
Commenting on the appointments, Jeremy Pinchin, Hiscox Re’s CEO, says: “We formed Hiscox Re as a direct response to the fundamental changes which are challenging the traditional reinsurance model.
